This document applies exclusively to DAWENT Service Apps, including usage-based and subscription-based cloud applications and APIs. It does not cover DAWENT’s other product lines.
Effective Date: August 01, 2025
We do not sell, share, rent, or exchange your personal information with anyone else. Any data we collect is used solely to provide, operate, and support the functionality of our service-based apps as explicitly requested by the user.
At Dawent ("We," "Us," "Our"), we are committed to safeguarding your ("You," "Your," or "User") privacy and protecting your personal information with the utmost seriousness. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of your information when using our service-based apps, which may include cloud applications, web applications, APIs, or other related services we provide.
For the purpose of this document, "Google Workspace Services" refer to the suite of productivity and collaboration tools provided by Google LLC ("Google"), as defined and updated by Google from time to time.
Dawent provides proprietary service apps designed to extend or enhance Google Workspace or operate as standalone applications. These apps serve as supplemental tools and do not replace or replicate the core functionality of any platform. Access and usage of the apps are subject to Dawent’s terms, applicable platform permissions, and policies.
Google Sign-In: We collect limited personal data through Google Sign-In solely for authentication purposes. This may include your name and email address, which are used to pre-fill details during subscription, usage-based service, or payment checkout processes via third-party payment processors. This data is not retained unless you proceed with the service subscription or usage-based purchase.
Subscription / Service Upgrade: If you choose to subscribe to a premium service or purchase usage-based credits, we collect specific data, including your account email and billing email. Information obtained during account authentication (e.g., Google Sign-In or other sign-in methods) may be used to pre-fill these fields. You have the option to override pre-filled details by providing different email addresses. This information is used solely to manage your service account, issue payment receipts, and communicate updates related to the service.
All collected data is securely stored within Dawent-managed systems. The Google Cloud Project and other cloud infrastructure supporting our apps are owned and fully managed by Dawent for development, testing, and service delivery, ensuring security and compliance.
Payment Processing: After providing the required account and billing information, you may select a third-party payment processor of your choice to complete the payment. Dawent does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. All payment data is processed and stored in accordance with the policies of the respective payment processor.
Payment processing is subject to Dawent's Refund and Cancellation Policy. Refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks are handled by the payment processor according to their terms and conditions, as well as Dawent’s policies. Dawent is not responsible for resolving any payment disputes once payments have been processed by the third-party payment processor.
We automatically collect certain non-personal statistical information through our cloud infrastructure and logging systems. This data may include application usage patterns, performance metrics, and error logs, and is stored for no more than 30 days. It is used to detect potential abuse, diagnose technical issues, and ensure reliable operation and performance of the apps’ intended features.
We implement encryption both in transit and at rest to protect this information during storage and transmission. Access to logged data is restricted to authorized personnel, and strict access controls are enforced to prevent unauthorized access. Where applicable, logged data is anonymized or pseudonymized, particularly when it relates to user activity, to minimize privacy risks. This information is never shared with third parties and is handled according to industry-leading data protection standards.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our public website is hosted on Google Sites and Firebase™ Hosting, which may set cookies to enhance your browsing experience.
We use Google Analytics on our public website to collect anonymous, aggregated information about website usage (such as page views and traffic patterns). This data is used solely to understand general website traffic trends and does not include Google Workspace user content or data accessed via Google APIs.
Within our service apps and sidebar interfaces, we may collect limited, anonymized technical usage metrics to monitor feature availability, diagnose errors, and ensure reliable operation of the apps. These metrics may include events such as feature activation, button interactions, error states, and performance indicators.
No analytics collected within the app interfaces include Google Workspace user content, document data, form responses, contact data, emails, files, AI prompts or outputs, or personal identifiers. These analytics are not used for advertising, profiling, cross-service tracking, or AI/ML model training.
You can manage cookie preferences for our website through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain website features.
Google Sites provides a built-in cookie notice, allowing you to Accept or Reject cookies as needed. For more details, refer to Google’s Cookie Policy.
We take the protection of your data seriously. Our service apps use secure authentication protocols, such as Google OAuth 2.0 or similar, ensuring that you do not need to disclose your login credentials directly to us. OAuth or equivalent protocols enable secure access to your data as necessary for the operation of the apps, with all data remaining within your account on the respective platform. When you install or access our apps, you will be prompted to authorize specific permissions, which are clearly presented during the installation or onboarding process. These permissions may include access to basic account information (such as your name and email address) to facilitate a smooth and secure sign-in process.
We do not store any of your account data on our servers. All app settings and user data are stored exclusively within your account on the platform, with no extraction or transmission to external servers or third-party services. Under no circumstances is your data used for advertising, included in AI/ML models, or shared with third parties, except as outlined in the Third-Party Integrations clause below. We strongly encourage you to review permissions carefully before granting access to understand the scope of data we are able to access. We only request what is necessary to operate the apps.
We implement industry-standard security practices to protect user personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction, maintain data accuracy, and ensure appropriate use. We use encryption for data transmission and enforce strict access controls to safeguard your information. However, while we follow best practices to secure your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may send you app-related communications, including notifications about maintenance, billing, service updates, or other matters that affect the operation of our apps. Additionally, the payment processors we work with may notify you via email regarding upcoming subscription renewals, cancellations, or modifications.
When you contact us via email at support@dawent.com or through our website contact form, you grant us permission to use the information you provide in order to resolve the issue you are experiencing. This may include problem descriptions, screenshots, or other debugging data collected implicitly via our cloud logging systems.
Additionally, we may use this information internally solely to diagnose issues, respond to support requests, and maintain the reliability of our services. Your data will be securely stored within our cloud infrastructure and used exclusively to resolve issues, improve app functionality, and optimize interoperability with relevant platforms. We are committed to safeguarding your data, which will not be shared, sold, or disclosed to third parties, except as detailed in this Privacy Policy.
You may request to delete or deactivate your license data if your personal information changes or if you no longer wish to use our apps. This can be done by uninstalling the relevant Google Workspace app or by contacting us directly. We will respond to such requests within seven (7) business days.
We do not sell, lease, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties, except as outlined in the Third-Party Services section. The information we collect is used exclusively to provide the services and apps you have explicitly requested and to operate our apps effectively.
We do not use any user data — including data obtained via platform APIs — to develop, train, or improve generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models. All data access and usage are strictly limited to the functionality necessary to support our apps and are handled in accordance with our commitment to user privacy and data protection.
We use third-party payment processors, such as PayPal, Stripe, and Razorpay, to process payments for our service-based apps. We may also use Google Chat/Email or other communication services to assist you with any questions regarding our apps, subscriptions, or payments. Please note that we neither store nor have access to your credit card or payment details.
Your use of these third-party services is governed by the legal terms, privacy policies, and practices of those providers. By interacting with these services, you acknowledge and agree to abide by their respective terms of service and privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them carefully. We do not control or manage the privacy practices or legal obligations of these third parties and are not responsible for any actions or omissions by them in relation to your data.
Some features of our Dawent service apps may integrate with third-party services to provide additional functionality. These integrations are limited to the specific purposes described, and by using them you acknowledge and accept the privacy practices of those providers.
Any interactions, communications, or use of features related to these third-party services are governed by their respective privacy policies. We do not control or manage the privacy practices of these third parties and are not responsible for their data handling practices.
By configuring or saving your API key, token, or connecting to a third-party service through OAuth2 via our apps, you agree to integrate with these third-party services. You acknowledge and agree that we are not liable for any actions or omissions of these third-party services with respect to your data or services. Furthermore, by interacting with third-party APIs through our apps, you are authorizing the respective third-party service to access only the data required to perform the user-requested functionality, in accordance with that service’s privacy policy.
We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties to understand their data handling practices before authorizing data sharing.
Dawent Service Apps may be used in K–12 educational environments under the supervision of schools or educational institutions, or by individual child users with parental or guardian oversight. Use of our apps is permitted for children under 13 years of age only when access is granted and managed by a parent, legal guardian, or a school authority acting on behalf of parents, in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable laws, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Dawent does not collect or store any personal information from child users beyond the limited account or usage data necessary to provide the service. No identifiable content from users’ files or platform activity is accessed, stored, or analyzed by Dawent. The apps operate entirely within the permissions framework of the respective platforms, and any data access is strictly limited to the functionality required to provide the apps.
Before granting access to children, schools and parents are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements and for obtaining any necessary parental consents. By installing and using the apps in environments involving children, supervising adults agree to these responsibilities and to Dawent’s legal policies.
Some features may optionally involve third-party integrations, as described in the Third-Party Integrations clause of this Privacy Policy. By using such features, schools and parents acknowledge that relevant data may be processed by external parties and agree to the privacy policies of those services.
Access for child users must be managed by parents or school officials. Children under the age of 13 may not independently purchase, manage, or activate service accounts. Dawent does not market directly to children or provide access to account management interfaces for underage users.
For any concerns regarding child-related data, or to request the removal of any inadvertently submitted information, please contact us at support@dawent.com
In the event that Dawent undergoes a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of its assets, user data may be among the assets transferred to the acquiring entity. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information remains protected and handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
If such a transition occurs, we will notify you via email or through a notice on our website before any changes take effect. You will have the option to review any updates to the Privacy Policy and, if necessary, request deletion or deactivation of your account and associated data in accordance with our Data Changes and Account Deactivation clause.
We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law, such as in response to subpoenas, bankruptcy proceedings, or other legal processes. The only personal information we collect, as outlined in the Data Collection and Use clause (e.g., email address, name, contact details, and address), is the information we may share under such circumstances. Additionally, we may disclose any communication or interaction information you have provided to us if we believe such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, the safety of others, investigate fraud, or comply with legal proceedings, court orders, or other legal processes.
If legal authorities request your personal information, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the request, unless prohibited by law or if such disclosure would hinder an investigation.
We provide our apps with a commercially reasonable level of skill and care and hope you find them valuable and effective. However, we do not make any guarantees regarding the performance or results of using our apps. They are provided on an “as is” basis.
We make no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaim all other warranties, including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other rights. In no event shall Dawent be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use our apps.
You may be notified while using the app via a banner notification or through a notification on the website. We may update our Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by email (sent to the email address associated with your account) or by posting a notice on our website when the change becomes effective. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
